Higher Diploma in Applied Christian Spirituality
Awarding Body: National University of Ireland (NUI)
Duration: One year
Delivery: Weekly attendance Thursdays
Current trends in Irish society demonstrate the growing recognition of the place of spirituality in areas such as counselling, addiction services, health care, community development, and second and third-level chaplaincy. Even in the business world, the need for "soul" days is seen as a means of countering excessive stress and the pressures of executive management, and spirituality can also make a difference to the values of a company and the way it functions. Members of religious congregations seeking to prepare themselves for formation ministry or renewal work will also be interested in this programme.
