Higher Diploma in Canon Law

While the provision of teaching and learning in Theology and Sacred Scripture has been more available to laypersons in the aftermath of Vatican II, the study of Canon Law has been largely limited to those preparing for the priesthood. The Higher Diploma proposed here as a foundation course in Canon Law will introduce participants to the fundamental principles that govern the Catholic Church in key areas. The course will enable participants to develop a basic understanding of the law of the Catholic Church and will equip them with knowledge of sources and methodologies.
