A developing discipline, it represents a significant means of self-care in the face of the demands encountered by those in the caring professions and those in pastoral and spiritual ministries. It supports continuing professional education on their part, and also enables an awakening to the integrity of the complex web of relationships, including hidden transcendental processes, between them and their clients.
