The Baccalaureate in Divinity (STB) [or the Baccalaureate in Divinity (B.D.)]  is a programme of studies which provides candidates with a solid grasp of the basics of theology. It is three years in duration and introduces students to a wide sweep of the broad subject matter that constitutes theology and that will be helpful for the discussion of theology in contemporary society and church. Areas that are dealt with in the degree include Scripture, Moral Theology, Systematic Theology, Church History, Patristics, Canon Law and Pastoral Theology.

The programme is designed in such a way as to encourage candidates to engage with contemporary issues without ignoring the greater tradition. At all stages of the programme students are encouraged to integrate their learning across the curriculum. The final year of the programme encompasses an essential Comprehensive component which helps students acquire a synthesis and overview of theology as a discipline and an articulation of faith.
